Views/Opinions Required in watch collection

different people collect different watches. even for collecting watches, some collect modern pieces, some collect vintage pieces, some collect both. some like dress model watch, some like sport model watch.

most people who know me know that im into dress model watch. im thinking of changing my direction of collecting rolex watch.

do you think it is a good idea to just concentrate just on one particular series of sports model? im looking @ either a sub collection or daytona collection. do note that only SS model is going to be the only type of material im looking at.

do express your view and/or opinion on this subject model. thank you

I suggest you stick to a theme but can have 1 or 2 outsiders that you like.

Like I realized I can only have resources to focus on 1 theme so I sold out my other pams etc. But I would still get 1 fav Pam for wearing pleasure.

my theme - submariner. though many will say sub is an iconic for rolex. but daytona is in a way iconic (grail watch for me)

Could be a phase you're going through? Best to start with just 1 sports model and see how much wrist time it'll get. No point selling your dress watches and then you'll miss them few months down the road and having to buy them back

If you are talking about changing your direction from something dressy to casual/sporty. Are you ready for that kind of change? Because if you mainly wear dressy watches for work and stuff, you might end up missing your old collections.

Having both will be the best in my opinion!!! But of course I'm bias!!!
