Hearing the pric hike (NB 15%), sigh,,,,,

the ever increasing price hike really puncture the desire to pursue the purchase....

Seems like the goal pole shifted before even reach the half way mark.

i dont think it is chasing rolex alone, alot of other brands also increase their prices annually.

the hulk will be a regular production. list price is about 10200. currently sold @ premium. so why get it now? wait for awhile before buying. wait for the initial hype to slow down and there will be discount for the watch.

patience is virtue. thread title says it all - 'chase'. when you are chasing something, chances of you paying a higher price is always there. let the watch come to you. im sure by then, the price wont be that high.

remember that when you buy a watch, just have to be contend that you are paying the lowest price you can in the current market prices.

Another way is to go for LNIB piece in the pre-owned market....can save a fair bit...just have to pick the one that fit your budget and condition...

donig a search in this forum for GMTIIc, you will see that in 2007-2008, prices for GMTIIc was about 9-10k range. 2009-2010, price start to soften to high 8s to mid 9k, despite list price close to mid 9k. Now, if wanna sell second hand GMTIIc, probably can only ask for mid to high 7k only unless list price goes up even more.

For the Sub C Black, notice the price change within only 1 month. From initial selling of 11k or so from the first grey dealers, to dropping of 800-1k and still not really moving. But of cos, if you are those that only wants Brand New, then probably need to pay a bit more.

For regular runs of rolexs, gmtiic, milligause GV, sub C, Sub LV C, price will def soften. Question is, sometimes its hard to be patient . but bo bian. for pple like me, no money so no choice but to be patient.

I can understand how you feel. Yes, it really sucks ! But then again, there are still many (rich) people out there who just go around buying watches like there's "no tomorrow". Thus naturally, the price of luxury watches will continue to increase year-by-year. As long as this remains your hobby, be prepared to spend. We are all suckers !

Who CONFIRM rolex will inc price on sep 15 ?
SE in AD ? member in US rolex forum ?

I am told (not sure how true) if there is an increase price, AD will only know about 1 wks in advance - not any earlier. Rolex also won't want their AD to hold sale rite ?
