Vui Kong’s appeal set for Jan 2011. Justice Chong ruled that the power to grant clemency “rests solely with the Cabinet” and that the President has no discretion in this. Justice Chong also laid down that the courts have no power to review the clemency process.

I think we all know what the outcome is already. So why even bother with the wait? Less pain for all involved.

due process... inmate has the right to appeal for a commutation to his sentence... and he's exercising it...

who's to say that it would have been less painful for all involved by serving his death sentence without going through the appeal process?... you?.. and how are you involved?..

dont want to sound rude or heartless; but he is exercising the right to appeal; altho we all know that the sentence has already been set, and there is no chance he can get it. (well, almost no chance).

as for how am i involved? im not; but i know first hand how it is like to lose one to illicit drugs. (my auntie family friend - whom i know too!). but then, that i guess will be irrelevant.
