can also be more of a status thing. Since taka area is all high class luxury boutiques, they would want to maintainthe "status"

Diff customer, diff status, so naturally, diff treatment. Triton, u may b their BIG customer? No one knows la. I was oso quoted list prices at THG(taka) until I got to knw a gd friend who worked there. There u go, diff treatment liao. Then I went to WP(lucky Plaza). No need much treatment, I was given discount straightaway. Glad tat happened.

this is because come from overseas, is consider tiao lau price. local AD, cannot match one because of costing involved.

take for example the ML watch bought recently, how can they give more than 50% discount?

why is it that PI import watch will cost cheaper? same principle as PI cars.

usually PI prices are lower, but not always. in my industry, the authorised agent selling to end user cheaper than my landed cost. How to compete?? So work closely with local distributor to penetrate market.

if the local AD willing to give a discount on rolex instead of asking premium, thn of cos PI cannnot compete lah. .. i will not buy from PI if it's only 200 to 400 diff on a rolex. But given 1 - 1.5k, of cos buy frm PI or overseas loh.

where these PI rolex comes from ? most also come from hk / jp etc. how come leh, i also dunno, rolex pricing should be +/- abt the same leh

totally agree. Even if difference is small i will jump ship to PI. I for one, so do not believe in paying premium, i rather wait for preowned or dont buy at all.

to be fair to spore AD, cos sg got 7% gst.. other places like hk or my dont hv, jp hv but can claim tax free.

as for the GMTIIc, i still dont get it, how come spore AD sell above list... Si bei boh standard .... ... KNN, my next trip overseas, i sure buy 1 back, anytime less thn 9k.

i think depends on the sales folks..whether they want to give more than the usual standard discount since it is likely eat into their incentive if they give more. Especially so for brand like Rolex since it will sell on its own.
