Can any bro kindly advise what is the diff? Thanks.
    I am just guessing.

When you are an admirer, you could be on the verge of owing a Rolex; or having owned one, is setting your eyes on other models

When you are a lover, you are on intimate terms with Rolexes: owned some, disposed off some, and perhaps always having more than one, and yet looking out for others.

When you are a master, ah, people with Rolexes come to you, seek you counsel, and you dispense wisdom. That itself gives you more pleasure than owing Rolexes and caressing your pride and joy. When others pulsate, and vibrate, you get, ah, an orgasmic release.

          Thanks for the insightful definition.

I am guessing that sg-roc will probably use a more mechanical approach though....based on duration joined or number of posts etc

don't really mind the title. but the lao jiao was amusing.

member, senior member, mentor member is also amusing with some local hint.

Personally, should have retained the old terms....jiao,jiao etc. Afterall, this clearly makes this forum unique from others. U don't see iconic sub cultures like extreme star trek fans or star wars fans for that matter changing their jargon/costume to suit 'international taste'?

This is one of the most outstanding features for this forum....local flavour! This has nothing to do for being unfriendly or unadaptable. International people are still welcome to join.

With this change...there is definitely a great loss in our unique identity from other similar or even same type of forums.

We should proud of it instead of discarding it! sigh.....

note: to encourage newbies, could have simply added a page for definitions to explain our jargon....I strongly feel that the 'international' crowd would also appreciate this. Afterall, they get to know new terms that are unique , get to have a unique n strong identity compared to other forums and encourage friendly cultural exchange,he,he.....trust me the local crowd will n are still using local terms.....hope this will not be banned too!

I have to admit; for people who come here looking for advise, and they see everyone typing in dialects, and local flavour, they may feel abit out of place.
