MOPED-riding thieves fleeing a £1million smash-and-grab raid pelted chasing cops with £25,000 Rolex watches.
The six robbers had scooped up the designer timepieces along with other top makes such as Cartier and Tag Heuer after using sledgehammers to break into a jewellery store.
Police raced to the scene in Kingston, South West London, early yesterday morning, while CCTV operators spotted the gang tear off at 70mph.
As a force helicopter arrived and cop cars closed in, the panicking yobs hurled some of their 40 watches.
But the officers continued the chase and two of the thieves were arrested when they crashed seven miles away in Sutton.
Two more were held in Wimbledon hours later after being seen acting suspiciously. The remaining two were on the run last night. Cops recovered much of the haul.
Det Con Ron Harvey said: "It was an excellent team effort." The gang had broken into a shopping mall, smashed their way into Fraser Hart and threatened a security guard.
They could be linked to a "Fagin's kitchen" network of teens controlled by older crime bosses. The gang are thought to be responsible for similar raids netting £4million across London.
