  • How do you wear your watches?

Ok, this is just to see how people choose to wear their watch according to their "collection".

I have a lot of chap palang watches.

1 Tokyo Flash, 2 Seiko (1 chronograph and 1 alarm), 1 casio pro-trek, 1 Limited Edition MTV Fossil, 1 hamilton, 1 Oris Limited Edition, 1 6694, DJ (which disappeared), 1 IWC portofino and Omega Aqua Terra.

Tokyo Flash, Casio, Seikos, Fossil and hamilton are weekend watches till I started wearing Aqua Terra this year.

When I 1st bought the 2nd hand 6694, it becomes my daily beater, till Oris comes along. 6694 becomes my brother's daily beater. Then when DJ was acquired, Oris receives no wrist time at all. When i got the IWC, DJ was neglected. (thus totally forgotten where i left the DJ and when it disappeared, I dunno, because been stationed overseas during the period). Now with the 3 months old Aqua Terra, IWC is now back in cold storage per se and Omega is the new favorite. And occasionally switched to Oris for night outings only.

What happen to the weekend watches? In the box, left behind and check for battery lives once a while. Will probably give away as gifts or souvenirs later.

So I was thinking, after reading the blog by Watch Addict in Your Choice, My Choice...actually how many watches do I need to properly give a decent wrist time to my watches......

Finally, I think I will only need a Rolex KING Ah Pek Gold, for my daily wear and a Submariner 14060m for travelling and rough conditions.

But then again, why am I thinking of a PP for the next generation, a robust AP and the versatile strap swapping Pam?

1st, as according to the day attire,
      the day event,
      then the mood,
then the frequency of the watches, giving piority to the one that was less often wore.

Some friends i know rotate by 'black' 'white' dial face, 1 day black, 1 day white.
Some by steel bracelet and leather strap

I keep my life simple. Citizen Eco-drive goes into the box. Omega on my wrist. No changes.

Guys you are doing it wrong. 1st choose the watch you want to wear that day, then change your mood and attire to match the watch

If you're like me, you might tend to overbuy because we men do have some of the woman's hormones in us!

I've bought quite a lot of watches and have never even worn them. However, I still get a buzz out of them still. Once a week, I take them out, polish and wind them up. Whereas all the auto watches sit in my watch winders where I can see them everyday through the glass window. (where it feels a little bit like shopping again!)

or another way is wear on different wrist, ha,ha. Sometimes, wear too long, my wrist get 'white', genna mark, so i switch to allow that wrist to breath, otherwise genna block by the watch.....no vitamin D n I also want to have an even tan lines!

I do wear my IWC PG 5001 or AP SS 15300 for formal occasions. But I do that with my usual Rolex SS Sub or SD too. As for casual, I do wear my robust Sub or SD or my Casio G-shock (the latest Tough Solar). Last few weeks I was wearing my SD as a daily beater.

In fact, most importantly, wear a watch you like most, though occasions do affect your selections. But there are people whom wear casual watches on formal occasions or formal watches on casual occasions. It all depends on you. Individuality counts!

Regarding your last thoughts, I would suggest PP if you could. If cost is a concern, get AP. I find PAM is more of a "fashion watch". No offence to all PAM owners. I have not owned PAM yet, of course, I may buy in future as I do like PAM 111 or 312. I just felt that PAM costs "too much" as compared to brands like Rolex, in terms of quality, build, material etc. This is purely my own opinions. No offence.
