Wow.. ! I'm amazed by you guys. Your comments/opinions are very sound and relevant. Sorry to not have informed. Yes, I own a Submariner (16610). Seriously, I don't have a "collection" at all. Merely 1-2 Swiss watches and some Japanese ones.. (less than a handful)

Love the read. Appreciate the response.
Bro, if you're maintaining a small collection and already own a Rolex, why not get a Pam 005 or 111? You just sold off your IWC so I doubt getting another one so quick will ease your withdrawal. Just my thoughts, of course.

It's a bit of a cliche but true: get the watch that sings to you. The one that you think about the most, google the most, etc. Then go see the actual watch and decide whether you want it.
BTW, getting a certain brand not corrently in your collection does not work for everyone. I thought getting a Rolex would be great for my collection but honestly speaking, after paying for it, I have only worn it once.

eh, me too. As said by a very knowledgeable watch guru friend of mine, Rolex does not stick with me, and I always end up selling them.

three times is enemy action and
over 600 is clearly the work of an ancient Sumerian demon or some sh*t."
Really appreciate you guys make the effort to share with me.. My initial thought was to have one watch for its theme, i.e. a diver's watch=submariner/SD; a pilot watch=iwc/breitling; a racing watch=f1/carrera/oris; etc-etc. But I can't seem to keep up.. Then I thought I should just keep to "one-watch-one-brand", but again, it didn't make sense to me.. So, there was a stage I just thought of giving it all up but the passion seems too strong..
I would vote for Panerai 111 if you want. I would prefer GMT or Sub with date or Daytona, but none of those is there. So I selected a more iconic model from Panerai.
