Laco and steinhart using ETA calibres for most of their watches...no issue with servicing lar...in fact ETA 6497 and 6498 are really easy to service and repair...most watch repairmen learn their trade by starting off with ETA 6497,2824 and 2801....For me if going direct to factory and local shops selling the same prices i rather go direct to Laco as 19% VAT will be deducted from the price...

Even if bought from local shop, still have to send back to Germany unless local shop is authorised workshop appointed by factory....

Well said bro! Actually, the only Laco 'authorised' dealer is JW. Only issue is his Laco stock not updated.

Does the no date no logo version only come in 55mm?

I am interested in both the Type A and Type B they have on offer now but somehow I feel that the logo and date spoil the clean look of the watch (no offense to anyone who owns them, just my personal feelings).

Bro, you mean they will be releasing sterile dial versions of the Miyota 42mm in August/Sept? Then I reckon they will be snapped up real fast!

Dude, I agree with you. The logo, date, additional dials, chrono etc marr the look of the original version. The red-dot type A is acceptable though.

Currently, the non-date/logo version comes in 55mm, but there used to be other sterile versions of Type A & B dials.
There was a 42mm ETA movement Type A, and 42mm Miyota Type B (Tuifly), both sterile dial.

But if what Bro CK said materializes, then wait patiently till Aug/Sept.

                          Bro,
No need to hide when you beo lah. Your Alpina quite impressive also mah...

Now I need to hide my stupidity.

I bought the Laco Type A Miyota with logo, then tried real hard to acquire a sterile dial, paid extra $$$ for it, paid watch shop more $$$ to replace with sterile dial, and now...Laco's releasing sterile dials in Aug/Sept...bang balls man!

I should have waited... ah... maybe I show you my Longines Greenlander instead, mwahahaha!!!

This new releases will be coming with choice of logo and without logo ... YES!!. For the price sensitive, LACO will roll out models using Swiss Ronda Quartz movement, 42mm in both Type A and B. If you wanna know the details and price, just email me timekeeper@de-timekeeper.com.
