Was doing my MSc in Manchester in 1999 when they win the treble. One cannot imagine the silence when they were losing and suddenly... BANG! 2 goals... Absolutely euphoria!!
Fans running out of the pubs into the streets. Climbing buildings, flagpoles, gals flashing they boobs, cars honking, flags flying... Really hard to describe unless one is there.
So I can imagine the atomsphere in Manchester now...
Well... I'm not a United fan... but I was one that night... for safety reasons for one...

***************************** A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at the office.
I can recall that evening too... watching the game in my student apartment with 10 Singaporeans in Leeds.. After that, we cheered all the way to Grosvernor casino to have breakfast at midnight (2 pound only) and celebrate!!!
Louis, I've been to the Theater of Dreams 6 times in my 2 yrs study in Leeds between 1998 to 2000.
Sorry to not participate in this thread yesterday.. slept at 1030am so that I could wake up to watch the game.. I guess you found out that part..
