Quite turned off by this practise .

When i am in the mood to buy or look at watches it is usually a spur of the moment thing . Ask me to wait i rather buy other brands to satisfy my urge .

For a listed price $13K daytona want to sell $20k and still must join waiting list ?

Now looking at other brands of watches to collect .

B4 i join this forum hor, the last rolex bought was abt 7 yrs ago. thn after tht 1 to buy another sport series, already buay song leow... u wnt ss or ss/ plat, they push u h/g. ask daytona, same premium ... hahhaa give up ... this yr, think of getting a rolex sport, saw new gmt2, very the gian, thn start visit them again, ... same old SHT .... hahahhaa daytona and gmt2 add premium ... haha

last few yrs, maybe added 15 - 18 watches of other brands ... only 1 pc came from a AD who's also a Rolex AD. I usually avoid Rolex AD to buy other brands, i think they should be making quite a big buck from selling at premium. whn u dont hv a good experience buying rolex from them, forget abt buying anything from them leow. even if u bought a 30 to 50k watch from them b4, i bet if u go bck to them to ask for a daytona, it wont be much off from their asking.

i dont think there's other watches tht have this 'premium' for a new watch.. it's really a turn off... especially for those genuine buyer... instead, it create opportunity for AD, dealer to hantham on ... wow lau

also same as u loh, look for other brand to buy, more interesting also, read/ learn more abt other watches. daytona n gmt will forever b there lah, jst willing to pay $$ or not ... but hor some limited cannot wait .. haha ... so u come across some interesting pcs let me know leh...jee

ya loh. jst like go makan, i dont believe some Q can be so long outside resturant, like makan free like tht ... need to pay money and yet need to Q. siow, i sure change venue 1.

Buying a Rolex ???? What u guys think ??? Tough ?? it's a merry go round, let us run like siow ... hahhaa

u think it's the only brand of watch tht AD quote diff prices, hold back stock in order to get more $$, play 'hard to get', little or no discount on selected model, add premium to certain model etc.

i also dunno.... wanted the new gmt2 and daytona, but these 2 models, AD all playing hard to get, so give up on those first, not interested ... buying rolex is tough; hahahhaa ... dont 1 to waste my time on these AD... maybe whn chance upon thn buy.

now, i rather see nice 1 or frm time to time, got some limited pcs and looks good, buy loh.. jst like the tmt limited, relatively quite inexpensive compare to the rest, so dont really have to think much ... hahaha best of all, i think all ball AD not rolex AD ... hahahhaha ... find them easier to deal with them thn those rolex AD..... i call up abt 10 days ago, ask them reserve 1 tmt for me, they say beginning of oct, today i pick up leow, gv me a 20 off too ...hee

tentatively, i will skip rolex for awhile, maybe if i happen to go overseas, try to lookie look see there thn in spore.

there's a couple of brand/ model on my wanted list, but i can do or do with it... didnt really shop for it, cos not limited, still avail ...
