Here is a spot of luck. Singapore Pools (SP) is extending the period for claiming that windfall - 180 days from the date of the draw or sports event, up from 90.

The company conducts draws for Toto, 4D and Singapore Sweep, and offers bets for sports like soccer and motor racing. The new rule kicks in on April 8.

An SP spokesman said the company occasionally gets prize claims after the expiry date 'from a small number of customers'. They could have gone overseas, for example.

But they 'accept our explanation regarding prize claim within the stipulated period, as clearly stated in our game rules'.
