  • Bergeon 5700-Z style case opener set w/ 5538 & 5674

I've been looking at this set for quite some time, and looks to be a good buy (link)

Where can I find this item in S'pore? and most importantly how much?

I've started to start collecting a stockpile of spare parts and may start learning more about this trade and art.

Of course, "ai pee ai che ai tua liup ni" so need your help in determine whether this is a good deal for me.

but i do not want to buy make in china, it is rubbish. I kay kiang go and use china made common to open my car nut, now the nut is ROUND and not hexigon like it supposed to be. . sometimes cheap is not good, and can be more costly in the long run

Has anyone ever thought of purchasing one? Mass Order?

i hate sellers who do that, because technically, they only have to refund you the "purchase" price, and shipping is non-refundable.

The auction Im looking "looks" ok, at US$50 shipped to your door. Looks worth while, but wait and see.

                  re: china tools ...
                  yah... haha.

My previous hobby was repairing cameras/lenses...
so I used a mix of good and cheap tools. You can use cheap tools for some things, if you are aware of their limitations... and don't force things.
I've been using the same spanner-wrench to open up camera lenses for more than 5 years ... and they were made in India.

i agree that some can use, but you better be d@mn sure about what it can/cannot open.

let me tell you my experiences on tension meters (swiss and indian). I repairs Swiss tension meters but cannot certify with cert. Now the swiss make is like a Rolex movement, lots of small screws and nuts, and a bucketload of hairsprings, waiting to bounce out when you are careless in handling, however I was given a Indian made tension meter, and from BNIB it was already out, no matter how you reengineer and calibrate, the tension meter will not show you accurate reading.
the price is about 60% of swiss price, but honestly I wouldnt touch it knowingly, and definitely would not be using it for my uncle industry.
