Dilemma on 38mm hublot

Hi guys, I'm getting a watch soon for my gf. She likes the 38mm hublot big bang with diamonds. However, it comes with a quartz movement. Don't really like the idea of spending 9K+ on a quartz.

I also wonder if the diamonds on the bezel will drop off after some time. Does hublot has a good resale/ demand in the market?

Don't see much ppl flipping their hublot as much as other brands.

Lastly, any inputs from you guys for watches that is nice/ pretty out there for women? Have been trying to push her to look at other brands like pam/ chopard but to no avail. She just don't fancy them.

No point getting her something which is more branded, better resale value, or more expansive if she don't like it, right?

Hublot is a good watch brand. The Chanel J12 series, ard $6k to $12k(diamonds) is a nice looking watch too. How abt Cartier?

Maybe you can 1st set a budget, then go through the watches in that range at shops or online website like passion, jw etc...

Budget of 10k will be set for her purchase. Did ask her to look at dos santos, but she don't seems to like square face watch. Her wrist is quite small as she's quite tall and slim.

Does the diamonds on watches drop off over time? The design of that black hublot is pretty nice, but don't know if the design can last

don't buy quartz ...i feel that not worth it...unless really nothing nicer...rolex cellini series got some quite nice ones also...

as mentioned, buy her what she wants. for ladies, it is not the inner beat that matters much more compared to exterior.

different watch brands have different policies on if diamonds fall off. generally, it does not. i dont quite like the hublot brand since the big bang series came in line by JCB. i feel that they are heading the AP way, use different materials to make case, change cosmetics of dial, etc. violia, you have a limited series of a theme watch. core base is still modified ETA. prices varies according to themes.

however, i would advise you to 'convince' her that why spend 10k on a quartz where she could buy a cheaper quartz for less than 100. if she likes hublot, then suggest the bigger size case ones with diamonds. dont get ladies. however, the budget will go up easily.

from what you describe, she wants a watch with bling bling. rolex ladies DJ with diamond markers should be @ that price. however, she may not subscribe to the idea of rolex.

generally, ladies bling bling is usually higher than normal ones. not many brands out there with diamonds and automatic for ladies. there is one though. but i can't recall, chopard also got bling and auto, but not sure if within ur budget. my best bet is still ladies rolex DJ as there is still resale value compared to hublot.

Em... IMHO , if i wanna spent 10k on a quartz watch , it have to be the patek twenty4 with diamond , that looks like a piece of jewellery .
Btw i'm starting to love Hublot brand .

I agree. Buy her what she wants. My wife is also into Chopard which has quartz movements. As for the black Tutti Fruitti, I have seen the orange version and it is a real beauty! 20 plus K!

thanks for ur input guys. Will ask her to take a look at the dayjust. Not sure if she's into rolex as she perceive that its an older man brand. Show her photos of jennifer anniston as well as a few female celebs that can pull off so well in a rolex before but can tell she wasn't convinced by it.

just check out the price yesterday , its around 15+k after discount from local AD , Can get from PI , at least can save 2k .
