    Hi, Bro. V nice good british BBC sounding speaker. I am also into audio for quite a while ago.

    Starting off with HT, then to pure audiophile crazy and finally seduce into the dark world of good old LP record.

    Yes, I agree that digital sound is convenient and pure but it just lack of certain ingredient that make LP sound to be more analog and fullest.

    That'a my humble setup below.

    1) Sony SCD-777ES -> Perpetual Tech P1 & P3 -> DIY Marantz M7 -> Larry 300B SE -> OEM Red Rose Music (Rosebud) speaker
    2) Thorens TD125 -> DIY VSPS phono-------->
    (w 3009 SME n Denon 103R)

    But not much time to listen nowadays. Maybe during CNY, I could enjoy the food of music.

        Audio

        Was pretty regular in Echoloft last time but now just enjoy the music! Running Harbeth P3-ES2 with Duntonic 6i tube amp. Had a Jadis amp but sold it as it didn't match well with the Harbeth. Playing with audio is more fun than watches but there is no end to upgrade and tweaks. After a while, just rather enjoy the music.

            Glad to see another Harbeth fan here. I bought the lastest P3-ESR late last year,but sold it.Feel something is missing coming out of that P3 shoe-box vs my old BBC LS3/5a

              UM3X , won't regret one.

              Unless you want to shell out for JH16 Pros ... now that's wicked!

                  Nowadays my portable rig is much simpler; consisting of just my iphone. dont really listen to music on the go anymore.
                  It was an imod info:http://www.redwineaudio.com/products/imod.

                  They are the best pioneer on ipod mob. 2 yrs back.Bcos there isn't a Wadia itransport then.And pretty costly thru costing high $400 alone on ipod internal mob. U required another DIY dock which cost a total of $1k + to challenge wif standalone CDP. They do really sound fantastic & delivered as it claim. But not anymore after so much option has been introduce lately.Example : Wadia iTransport connect to ur current DAC.

                  I spent enough trying all sort of stuffs & finally rewarded on something that do the job according to my liking. In life we do need to pay to learn lah...guess we all have already gone thru liao.LOL! I'm such a lazy pig that hate to walk up to CDP changing disc to disc. So my solution is to get a apple express stream my music collection from iTune wirelessly using Wi-Fi.(note: All file compressed in applelossless /FLAC) And feed to my DIY tube-buffering to correct the impedance b4 connect final stage signal source go to a mini 27w/ch Hybrid tube amp.>>> It make my Harbeth sing like on tomorrow man!

                  End of the day , audiophile is all about personal taste & very subjective.It work perfecto on my home does not assure it delivered the same on u.I think that is a from of challenge & what I call "FUN" lor "$$$ well spend once all system started to match well & sing happily . Then we will be rewarded yourself wif good music able to lift us to another element.

                      Definitely a music-lover.

                      So much so that I started a hifi business 6 years ago right from my hifi room (but now at Beauty World Centre). It's still very much a 'fun' business since all of us don't consider this to be our bread and butter...

                      It's called xxxxxx... maybe some of you guys here may already have bought stuff from us...

                          johnfish,

                          Alex here. I didn't think for a minute that I was advertising. Nor did I expect such a big reaction. But I can see the way you feel... I sincerely apologise and will withdraw the post.

                          But I'm torn. In other forums, when I state my audio interest without stating that I have a audio business, I am similarly lambasted because I am deemed as having 'vested interest'. And here... I wanted to state my 'vested interest' first and I'm accused of advertising.

                          Really... I'm really really disheartened because either way I lose...

                          Maybe my first post was the wrong stating my audio business. And that post was really about the best I steal as I was in the midst of a boring marathon meeting.

                          Sigh... and I was just came in to post my opinion on your M30 as I had it for a good 6 months matching it with various source/amps. Anyway... doesn't matter now. Again... I apologise for my first post and will delete it.

                            I can't seem to edit or delete my first post. But I have reported my own post to the mods. I hope they can do edit or delete it.

                              Johnfish, I do appreciate you starting this thread and sharing yr indepth knowledge. Especially for music lovers like me, it's something interesting to read, digest and hopefully understand before I ask anything stupid.

                              Frankly, I believe Bro A.C.E not taking this opportunity to 'advertise' his business here. 1 yr back before where a few of us intended to have a meet up for music enthusiast thread, (http://www.sg-roc.com/showthread.php?t=11412).
                              Although his first contribution to that thread was to 'volunteer' a meet up at his shop, he never mentioned his business name there... If you scroll through that thread, nothing else was mentioned. I did PM ACE for more details but frankly, we didn't manage to arrange anything in the end, and the thread died off. Lets face it, if he want to promote it, he would keep that thread alive.

                              I know how you feel about ppl taking opportunity to bring up their business in forums, but I don't feel A.C.E is doing that.

                              Both brother johnfish and A.C,E, Pls continue to share with us your knowledge in this thread.
                              Cheers.

                                And i believe that bro ACE can provided us with lots of valuable knowledge in both watches and audio .
