SAF officer fined for misconduct

when i went bk for reservist 2 years back, just one week alone 2 case reported.

is it anything about uniform fetish or what?

LTCs make >$15,000/- a month?
I thought the pay scale was:
LTA - $2.5k to $3k
Cpt - $3k to $4k
MAJ - $4k to $5k
LTC - $6k to $8k
COL - $9k to $10k

I think this is for the normal average officers.

Those SAFOS officers are out of this pay range definitely.

Hey, Andrew, I saw a photo of you with one crab. But you said here, you are not a regular. I must say I am impressed - NS officer with crab!!Your crab is a Sri Lankan crab, and that guy only has two small flower crabs.

Having said this, I feel a sense of pity for LTC Frederick Teo. His career with the SAF is over, his pension is lost. It's a pity because we too could be like him - a moment of lust, a life time of regret. Some times, I think we have been created with just enough blood to run the brain; and that once the organ gets too much, the brain ceases to operate.

I know there are gd ones in army. My own former CO was a real soldier and he did everything we do. But for a saf scholar to be caught doing this???I don't like it. I certainly don't mean to imply all regulars as I too have friends in army.

The punishment is sadly too light. How much money these scholars take fr taxpayers is way way too much fr a 6k fine.

BTW, I have never seen a female in a SAF uniform that make my heart beat faster...nurse yes, police yes but SAF and cleaner no.

The fine is not the punishment. It is him, losing everything he has worked for. He is as good as gone in many industries, not to mention in the whole public service division. That's the fall.

I salute you for serving 17 years as a NSman. When i enlisted, the scheme was:
> 'O' levels = Corporal & Above = 2.5 years
hence, after 'O' levels, i served with the intent to do the 2 years stint.

Looking back, i would have gladly gone for higher edu then serve 2.5yrs.

there are cpts(grade II) earning 5k a month and not counting additional allowances etc..
