if yours is chinese wedding, maybe can provide advice. however, being a malay wedding, i know nothing. sorry.
like what a lot of forum members mentioned, the most important aspect is planning everything within budget and means. no point going beyond.if you have issues with your account, click here for self help and read forum rules here. 90% of your answers can be found in Forum FAQ
i DO NOT respond to any pm regarding account issues
kindly email with- subject heading indicating your issue
- your nick
- your corresponding email address
- state what you were trying to do and what the system prevented you to do
if you receive no response in pm or email, it means your answers can be found in the Forum FAQ here
your kind understanding is very much appreciated.

communicam,
usually at a chinese wedding, can allocate certain table to be muslim/ western food if u hv muslim guest...but hor, the truth is most hotels dont hv halal cert.
I once attended a wedding at a park ... nice tents, deco & cater food with DJ/ muisc etc.... something different... but lotsa work, tent, toilet, genset, table, chair, deco, food, dj, stage, etc etc ... but it's special... only problem weather too hot ( need lotsa fan or some cooling system ), rain... opps

Anyway we did ask a few nice hotels in orchard yesterday and almost all charges at least 50% more for the halal foods! Haiz..[B][I]There's no jewels or gems to compliment a man..

TS, congrats on yr wedding. I totally agree with all advice contributed by bros here. if yr wife-to-be is okay with small wedding, go for it.
me and home minister got into several arguments when we had ours. hers was a really traditional family. the past is past and it's not rite to discuss family issues here.
i only hv this to say: comminucation is the key to conjugal bliss. wish someone told me this earlier then i woudn't have gotten married.Remnants of my irresponsibility:

Eh .. wedding at Hooters ar ... wah .. this one I must see. If held there, can you invite me too?
No lar , but seriously, most important, is to set yourself a budget (agreed with your wife), and make sure both of you agree to stick to the budget, no matter how attractive the additional options may look. Save yourself from some grief later on.
