Help! I've been cheated!!

I bought a U boat late last here at singapore ebay. Based on his ratings of less than 50 it seems to be pretty trust worthy to purchase things from him.
He sold me a quartz chrono beige colour U boat. He mention that this was 1 of the 1st few models that produced quartz movement back then. No box or paper. He also did purhase on ebay. As usual U Boat doesnt do verification. But the watch technician did mention that she didnt come across model at all. But this guy keep assuring me that its 100% auth n I finally bought it from him at $1700. For assurance He even gave me his name card where he's helping out at his father's law firm.
After keeping it for ard 6-8months I traded off at 1 of the reputable 2nd hand watch dealer in orchard rd n was shock to hear that it's fake! Japan movement & not swiss. I called the guy, Miki Khoo, & as usual denied & insisted its 100% genuine. I told him to go down to the 2nd hand dealer shop to see for himself but was kena threathened instead. He also say he will file a police report to say that I might change the movement myself, which is totally ridiculas!
Bros I really need your expert advise what I can do about it. Should I EXPOSE his working place here in *** so that those who knows him can help me out on this? Hopefully he has a clearer conscious?
Luckily his mobile is still the same.
FYI his mobile is 9xxx 2222. Miki Khoo, Chinese, tall, well built & speaks well. Driving a Crossroad. (last year) Oh he's staying in Kembangan. Hope this help.

ebay should have a record also, u can file a complaint with them

this guy goes by the nick of khoo something or something khoo in ebay right?That time I wanna buy a U-Boat flight Deck from him and as stated in the post he say that he found the watch @ clubs and selling it off cheaply and say that he does'nt own any u-boat watches and I felt strange that he say he dose'nt own any U-boat watches then i go see his past transactions and saw that he had sold quite a few U-boat mainly classico.So after seeing this,I think the seller is trying to hide something so I give the watch a miss.Hope everything turn out well for u. Hai~~!! this world is geting more & more complicated.

I think you should file up all the communications that you made with him.

Keep and save all the emails, SMS if there is.... then make a police report.

Find people to trace him down using the HP number.

As long as you have proof mentioning that he told you before this is suppose to be a geniune U boat, i think the case is valid

i remember the nick used in ebay liao.khoo73 right?With a white crossroad?Btw couldget any of the watch technician in singapore prove that the watch had not been open before?If so,the technician can prove that u did not open up the case and change the movement?Dun shoot me just my 2 cents worth.Quite heartache to keep seeing forumer keep getting cheated by this kind of stupid A**Hole selling watches with real case fake movement or fake AAA grade replica or fake warranty card or whatsoever.It sucks.

Wah bro ur memory so good huh... Yup thats correct description!!! You met up with him before? According to the dealer the movement is made such that it fits perfectly for the watch. So theres no way that a normal peron like us can just change it. Not even the dealer himself! (btw he also own his service cte n repairs watch too) I told the dealer about my plight n he was nice enough to explain the details to me so that i can lodge a police report. Im collecting my watch back tomorrow thou...

My problem is no more evidence liao. Service my hp and all data is lost. I forgot my ebay acc password cos im hardly in there n i dont remember bidding on the watch in ebay. He left his hp in there. He did pick up my call but just refuse to meet. Say wasting his time since it has been quite a while. Wonder if the telco able to track tele conversationsEven thou he is still selling fake watch! So guess have to let the police handle...

I believe a police report will do the trick. We have good leads on this guy and pretty sure that he is still in Singapore.

i asked about his seiko 6309 before..he's damn arrogant and even said he bought the watch at $50..den trying to sell off at $300..

so blacklisted him n nv bought anything from him

Before you take further actions...i would like to point out that the seller may have sold you a genuine U-boat. Indeed, earliest version were fitted with quartz movement (Miyota japanese movement). I suspect the technician (Juni yes?) may not be aware of this. whether he got an authentic piece from ebay...i'm not sure though (there're a lot of fakes out there). some pre-owned dealers may not know that earliest models are fitted with japanese movement as well.

can you check your caseback if yours XX out of 1000?

James thanks for the info. Indeed the exterior looks convincing enough to pass it off as an auth watch to the dealer. Mine is batch 545 out of the 1000. he mention quartz, not sure if it's Miyota thou. I dont wanna sound rude but how do I convince my dealer & to give me a piece of mind ( in any case it its genuine) on the forum that you sent me since its not comments made by the u boat specialist? Are we able to take it from there? Sorry please enlighten me so Im able to convince the dealer as Im gg there later in
the afternoon.
