One very important principal consideration is the amount of funds that we can play around with. Think we have to firm this up before deciding on the concept and the venue.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, but what is comfortable for some of us may not be comfortable for others. Even for normal gatherings, it is hard to get good attendances.

Some may even be reluctant to pay and many come to this forum just for information.

One possible avenue for funds is from the charity auctions which we had earlier on. Think we've collected $2K plus already. The plan to do charity is a good one, but perhaps we can do this after the anniversary? We can make use of these funds first. During the function (dinner or buffet), we can hold more auctions for charity. If the attendance is good, the potential to collect more funds may be higher.

hmm, i think those for charity already bid leow hor, those $$ still got to go to charity, if not, dunno how to ans to bidders.

and for the gathering, it will be nice to hv more ppl and nice location.. thn currently hor the poll doesnt really mean anything, cos only 6 voted ... hahaha... i think keep it simple, cheap, hopefully more will just pop in.

i can come out with another maybe 5 watches ( inexpensive 1s ) for say lucky draw or something. .. and can think of some door gifts.

I think we still missing out a lot of members. Many log in but they don't come to Kopi Talk. Maybe we should work on the publicity first? Most members who join the forum come in to find lobangs. Many only hang around in Garage and Rolex in General. Few really come in to Kopi Talk to talk cock.

Maybe we can make a link in BOLD and RED "SG-ROC 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY" somewhere more prominent in the forum?
