Just wondering how many members here intend to join the IRs opening 1st quater of 2010. heard the membership fees a year is $2000 for singaporeans. otherwise have to pay $100 per entry.

I look forward to it and intend to join!
I'm not a hard core gambler!
just like to gamble a little during the weekends, my bets are always small, usually under $50 per hand.

There are many ways where you can get to gamble online, at the comfort of your home. Why pay so much for the yearly entrance fees. Might as well make use of your 2k for a holiday. Just my 2cents.

Though I am in no position to comment much about online gambling...thing is...when it's online...you are usually at the losing as it's controlled by the computer. Usually the owners of the "den" will tweak the system against you.

But then..when you are sitting there on the table...it's gonna be luck already.

its evident that you havent been inside a REAL casino before . whilst there is an element of truth in your statement, you need to understand that all games and their payouts need to be submitted to the gaming dep't (gov't dep't - at least here in Oz; im sure its same in sg)

Take for example the traditional game of blackjack (payout 3:2; dealer sits on 17; insurance pays ...)

Recently Crown casino tweaked their blackjack payouts.
payouts on blackjack is now 6:5 as opposed to 3:2
soft 17 (dealer can pull more when on 17; hopefully getting 21 to avoid paying)

roulette is now in house favor even more courtesy of an extra number

As is quoted in the papers down under, you might as well hand in your wallet when you come, and head home .

If not i rather go genting , cos i get to enjoy free stay in the suite , and eat abalone for free , also reimburse my petrol and toll fees , even travel by air also can rebate .
Who cares about spore IR if i had to pay 2k non-refundable membership fees .

actually bro brabus...i've never considered the pointers you stated here..indeed, after reading them it sets me thinking of going to genting more often then spending on the membership fee...
