i can still believe terms like 'hardly worn'...
some really buy and wear once every few mths...

but some sellers really push it to the limit... stating BNIB when the post says 'worn only afew times'.... like that i really dun trust the seller liao

      Hardly...the truth.

Granted its "hard" for some not to abuse that description of usage levels to depict the actual product condition, be it for collectors' items like timepieces or jewelry. It is somewhat relished by both sellers and buyers. Being human, some exaggeration can and does happen. Beauty is subjective : it is in the eyes of the beholder. That is when BNIB may even be used to describe the brains that some buyers and sellers are both looking out for! Then again, some collectors' obsession with new items is in such stark contrast to the practice of collecting vintage and antique genere. Take for instance the huge market in US for pre-Vendome Pams. Any brand new looking Pre-Vs would have been deemed faux pas (out-of-sync). The moral of the story is "Caveat Emptor" - May the Buyer Beware (be aware)!
