  • DIY cleaning of Watches?

    Hi all,

    Newbie here. Any tips on how to clean and shine a SS watch?
    I also have a SS watch face but strap is black leather with side stiches(orange).

    The leather strap use wat to clean and need polish? Scare wait the stiches which are not leather more like threads can't kena leather polish rite?

    Bro use normal tooth paste with a tooth brush and give it a good brush then wash it of with water perfect shine all the time and it does not harm the watch at all, as for the leather use baby oil and be careful not to touch the orange part best use a cotton bud, the oil will help to soften and water proof the leather as well as to remove smell.

      But will the ToothBrush cause scratches or swirl marks on the SS???

        I usually don clean the leather strap. is there a need to? each strap tends to last me for 1 year plus or so and then have to buy new strap due to odor liaoz.

          Bro tooth brush made of nylon so no problems unless you use a copper brush as a tooth brush then many problems as for the oil Johnson is right.

            i wash in the shower with hot soapy water. no need any special chems or brushes.

              metal bracelet watch i use soft toothbrush with light detergent. Wash plate one. No need special.

              leather i use mink oil.

                Thanks alot Guys. Will take note of all the tips.

                * Change Leather Strap after 1yr+? Expensive le... Mine's a Horn Back leather strap. Tink i won't change unless its really jialat... Heehee.
