I would rather wear FAKE watch but drive a BMW or Mercedes.

My 2 cents.

Some wear fake cuz the design is nice. such users also buy homage watches.
Others want to experience the 'class' and looks associated with the watches.

Overall, no real 'good' or 'bad' since originals aint threatened by the fakes.
While Rolex is under threat, they have came up with complications and finishing that are rather hard to duplicate at a low price range.

I see 'fake' as a good way to wake the incumbents up to improve their design and products.

I believe is the inner self materialism, it is totally not acceptable to wear fake products. I will choose a gshock anytime.
