  • And if there's anyone whom you think that you may wanna do the same kinda' "guessing-jail-term-game", why not try David Rasif. Remember, the rich and infamous lawyer who ran away not too long ago with his clients' $10million?

    How about that?!

    • what im trying to figure out is, has the insurance company pay cortina. if yes, can they recover back part of it considering that the watches are taken back?

then again, what is the fate of these watches? are these watches going to be back on sale considering that a blacklist might have already been out?

if cannot be put on market, then what happens to these watches?

      • I guess this is gonna be a hush-hush thingy. Likely yes, the watches are going to be put on sale, once they have been identified and certified to be those MIA pcs. Of course, this will not be public info. Just my perception.

            • Cortina Watch Theft - Jerry Ee facing another 12 charges!!

              He now faces 24 charges
              By Elena Chong, Courts Correspondent

FORMER Cortina Watch supervisor Jerry Ee apparently started stealing from his employer from as far back as November 2006, going by fresh charges filed against him on Thursday.

That was when he is said to have misappropriated a $40,000 Patek Philippe - not from his last place of work at Raffles City - but during his earlier stint at the Cortina store at Paragon.

Over the years, he is also said to have taken seven watches from five customers, believed to be foreigners, worth $183,000.

The details emerged on Thursday when 12 fresh charges were filed against him, dating his allegedly criminal activities from as early as Nov 29, 2006.

This is the third time that Ee, brought back to Singapore from Bangkok on March 19, was hauled to court to face new accusations.

On March 21, he faced single charge of criminal breach of trust, for pocketing $27,137 in cash and 386 watches valued at $8.5 million from the Raffles City outlet.

Until then, it had been assumed this loot, from the infamous Christmas Day heist, was all that he was being accused of taking.

Last Friday, it emerged for the first time that he might have been pilfering from his employer even earlier. He was brought to court to face another 11 charges for pocketing 11 Rolex watches worth $203,000 - from May to December last year.

Thursday's set of charges involving 15 timepieces totalling $290,393 in value, means that Ee's loot was actually worth $9.2 million.

Ee, 35, has been working for Cortina Watch since April 2004 as a customer relations associate at its Raffles City branch. His last drawn salary was $2,130. District Judge John Ng on Thursday set bail at $1.5 million although the prosecution had asked for $3 million.

He was unable to post bail and was remanded until the next court date on April 30.

Wah he surrenders also kena so many charges!
