cortina can afford la,question is not whether expensive or not, question is can cortina do without the insurance?

      • this will be interesting for the lawyers...
assuming there was insurance, cortina would probably prefer to claim under the policy as they can get the full insured value. whereas the insurers will probably not want to cover it, as a lot of the goods have been recovered. but then again, i dont know how cortina would be able to charge their regular price for these "BNIB but stolen" watches...

ah well, fingers crossed for a nice watch sale next year!

disposed of some of the watches already...stashed the valuables that he got in return (cash / gold / diamonds) with someone...return a few years later after jail term to claim million+ bucks...can retire.

our resident ex-matah just talked abt this over dinner just now.

looking at 4 to 5 yrs......10 yrs not likely. reason....jerry surrendered himself to the police.

                      • Wow! "Worth" it leh.... 4 to 5 years later become a millionaire... this kind of "light" penalty will encourage more such incident to happen in the future?

                              • Personally I dun think I want to gloat over someone's misfortune in this manner. I prefer to show consideration for his family and loved ones. Don't forget that Jerry is son to his parents. Like many of us here who are parents to our children, and son/daughter to our parents.
