this will be interesting for the lawyers...
assuming there was insurance, cortina would probably prefer to claim under the policy as they can get the full insured value. whereas the insurers will probably not want to cover it, as a lot of the goods have been recovered. but then again, i dont know how cortina would be able to charge their regular price for these "BNIB but stolen" watches...
ah well, fingers crossed for a nice watch sale next year!
