  • Ask me not to buy PP, AP, Rolex, and Cartiers, that means ask me not to buy any watches.....

Maybe because of this incident, PAM's sales shoot up!

I will not want to buy BNIB PP, AP, Rolexes and Cartiers now in case get any loot pieces and end up surrendering them and not getting back my money.

        • Is it really true that Cortina took an ad out in Straits Times denouncing him? I didn't come across such ad at all. I feel for his kids...

          • It is a common practise in this industry. The ad doesn't that this guy is a bad staff but the ad serves as a notice to others that he has no relation with the company. I believe besides the ad, Cortina would have sent out letters to its customers, suppliers, etc about this.... no hurt feelings...

nothing to feel. the company will not mention any particular reasons. it is done purely to advise customers that personal has changed and the person involved is no longer representing the company. this is done in all industry, not only luxury items.

agreed. cortina may send to supplier but no customers. the newspaper ads itself acts as a customer notice.

                • Cortina's sales revenue for 1/2 year is around $5-7 mil...if the watches are not recovered...then next half year they actually "work for free"...

wonder if insurance may cover cos this is an insider job...insurance only cover theft from external parties so i heard..not sure lah...

                    • #1. Insider job, insurance don't cover. It's company's fault for not having "reasonable" prevention measures in place.

#2. yes, you're right. The next half year they actually "work for free" but the company and shareholders should not "work for free", THE DIRECTORS SHOULD WORK FOR FREE as it is clearly their fault for having this kind of things happen in their company. Also, look at their annual report, the combined pay for all the directors and management is around $7M++ for last year!
