the first time i bought my watch from cortina, raffles city was in 2006, a panerai...he was working there already.

and when i bought my IWC from him weeks ago....think he told me he has been working with cortina for more than 5 yrs.

he sure know which watch to take....esp those PP that cost more than 100k. the new rolex day-date plat, etc etc etc.

i hope he will contact me to buy some of the watches.....hehe. just kidding lah. later police come knocking on my door tonite.

it is reported that the parents of the employee reported him missing. the staff was probably out of the country after the heist. if the staff has good connection, the goods would have been disposed off within couple of days. it looks like a well planned act.

wow wonder how they gonna dispose of so many high end pieces. very glaring and unless the manage to move it out of the country quick.

If i remember correctly, there is a bro in this forum told us that the AD actually markup the watches at least 200%-400% to sell to pple like us. So in actual fact, the loss might be less than what the news has reported. Agree?

that would be me.

i found out abt the mark-up cos sincere was looking for buyer and my younger bro happened to be in investment bank. other than franck muller that was mark-up by 400% (the highest among watches that sincere carry), the rest of renowed and popular one r mark-up on average 100% to 150%.
