I was at Raffles City last friday to get a present for my wife and when i walked passed Cortina, i see the shop closed and paste "closed for stock take". I did not smell anything except wonder why do stock take on boxing day when it is the high time to get more sales.

Until i read this thread here then i realized they had a broke in. By the way, i still see a lot of watches being counted

we can see a lot of pams (and other high end watches) now in SG's boutiques because of mainly 2 reasons:

1. Asia's watch industry still growing (US/UK cannot sell them as well as before)
2. Switzerland getting rid of stocks to reduce holding costs and possible new models launching soon at Basel 2009

i got one question

is the 7.9 mil figure for

a) list px b4 disc
b) px after normal disc
c) cost

They wont ever put the cost of their watches 1 la...

List price is usually inflated if you realise

The heist looks like a scene from a movie. Plan the hit on X'mas day... and if they are smart enough, the watches should be out of the country by now. I'm sure they've planned for it.

No way they will be stupid enough to flood the market with 7.9mil worth of watches here in sg. That's too conspicious... especially with all the serial numbers and limited editions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Interpol has already been notified about this heist.
