No wonder few gals dare to join such pageants let alone risk exposure. The high profile for such shows may magnify her flaws. Maybe fewer candidates this year are perfect. Looking around, there are many gals who speak Singlish after all. Perhaps she is an Ah Lian and proud of it too. Or are the organisers trying to hard to bring a Singaporean flavour to the Miss World contest?

u dont see french gov ask their citizen speak good english,.. spanish or indian gov ask their citizen to do the same.. they all hv accent.

try small german city or town.. not tourist destination, try speak english to local,, .. wow lau ...

speaking with accent is ok. each of us speak with different accent. however, i do feel that pronunciation is important. if you want to be heard, you need to articulate properly.
