It's ok if it's too big for your hand. You can always wear it on your WRIST. Haha......

Hi Stanley, I like both Rollies and Pams. But my very first poison was an AD new Omega Seamaster which I traded for a pre-lurved Sub with date. The reason was the Seamaster proved too heavy on top and kept slippping to the side of my wrist. The Sub was perfect in weight. Later on came the Pam but not the ones with Stainless Steel (SS) bracelet. IMO, while the Pams look sui with leather straps, the sweat will rot the leather fast if proper cleaning and waxing is not done. As a result the watches with SS bracelet are most versatile esp outdoors. I mostly wear Pams in indoor aircon environments. The most impt thing I learnt from peeple like my more esteemed brothers here is to look for time-pieces which can retain value over the years. Eg. the movement engine is a good measure of value for money. That is why most of the Rolly and Pams are mechanical or auto. Quartz movements must take care and not allow the battery inside to expire and corrode the sensitive electronic parts inside as they can be expensive to replace. The most popular models are safe bets but not always guaranteed to please you. Lastly, one must do your homework like mama said and shop around like SG-ROC forum here to compare prices with mkt at ADs and pre-owned sources. Ensure it is not a fake and if in doubt pls get a service centre or pre-owned shop to help you to verify. 5k is a reasonable budget and you can follow the brothers' advice at current mkt. Remember to show us pictures of your successful hunt. Good luck!
