Bro, it's not about wanting to go or not. It's whether one has the stamina to participate or not. I want but my body says no!

I think it is not age, it depends on how regular you run...

I failed my IPPT when just came back from the states. So I run and run everyday, pass the following year and then reduce my timing to <12mins (older some more).... don't ask me my timing now... I am C9L2 now....

Its my 7th full mara. But will be alone this year. I run slow. But still rest of kaki gradually dropped out. None wnat the 21km. Some only do the 10km. Maybe can meet up?

Beauty of this year is that it may be last time to mass participate in the 42km. Moreover the org has finally said that 50,000 is the max for this year which is the same as last year. Next year they will reduce the number further in order to address feedback about logistics and quality issues of the track. Worse, the org has announced that next year they may intro qualifying times like Boston Mara with perhaps a 6 hours cut off time. Purpose is to raise prestige of the event as an international event. The mass participation event may be limited to half mara of 21 km or even 10 km only. Lastly, the org may only allow the charity runners who raise a min of $300 to run the 42km.

If you can complete 21km, you have a chance. What was your timing? Also what is your target time for the full?
