Ok.. a quick share of my findinds with those who are interested...

The specs I am looking for :
            - FULL HD
            - Built-in tuner
            - 40 - 42 inch
            - Min 100Hz

Models I've shortlisted and research results :
            - Samsung (LA-40B650) - Nice and pretty cool features... Not seen anything bad off the web yet on this model... (anybody have feedback, pls share)
            - Sharp (LC42D85M) - Low contrast ratio of 10,000 : 1 (did I see this wrongly???) Seems this is the only model with in-built tuner so am unimpressed.... (although I like the idea of a Japan made LCD panel (call me old fashion))
            - LG (42LH50) - Was about to decide on this as was impressed with all the bells and whistles.. just did a final research and found that their 200Hz seems to struggle at sports and action movies..

Anyone who has an opposite experience with any of these models, please share share hor...

i also refuse to get sony products as i deem them to be incapable and unreliable. take the case of my MD (back in the days where portable CDP were king )

im not aware of this site, but take every review with a pinch of salt. they may have hidden agenda that you are not aware of.

my lg lcd tv model #: 42LB7RF. damn regret getting that purchase, if i had waited 2wks, i can get the sharp for half the price

Would like to share my experience with Samsung.

Samsung is no doubt innovative in the product but the sound quality really sucks. Out of the plasma/lcd tv that I have like Sony, LG, Panasonic and Samsung. The latter got the worst sound quality. My favourite is still Sony.

                  Juz my view though.

if you are after sound, i suggest you grab a set of speakers, use the line out, change the opamps and you will get good sound
