Enquiry of rolex verification service by Rolex Service Centre

Hi,
I just find out that Rolex Service Centre no longer provide the usual verification service.
Instead, they will charge a service charge. Whereby they will do a servicing on the watch and also provide verification service.
And the cost of doing that will be around 800-900. May i know is it true??

Was trying to repair my dad airking and they want to charge me >$800 which include polishing and testing similar to COSC.. but fr what? Nobody wet dive in the family. I took it to a reputable watch shop and they send to third party repairer to repair for my at <$800.

If you really watch to verify, just go pawnshop... Else just buy watch tools kit and open the Rolex like how you open an oyster shell. They claim to be the same right.

Too bad I cannot post pics, else attach the pic Which was take took after it was “de-case” from the oyster prior to servicing. I sometime open up watch case at home...

Send in your watch and ask for service quote.
Then you refuse to service and pay $107.. free cloth and pouch.
