Hi just wondering if anyone here had send watches overseas via DHL or other similar express companies to Australia and New Zealand? Is it safe and do they tax for it at their end ?

if you declare an item as watch on the airway bill, it will attract attention. hence the security on the watch may be compromise.
if there are taxes on incoming goods above a certain amount, high chance that it will be tax.

GST for Australia is 10% and GST for New Zealand is 12.5%. Australia and New Zealand are extremely anal about GST so unless you under declare your goods (which is illegal), do prepare to get taxed.Originally posted by FCLIM View PostComment
