And yet pawnshop can evaluate timepieces .....when they don't even know how to authenticate them.

AP easy to fake becos design is too mesy, cant see clearly.

I see a lot of youngsters wearing AP and hublots nowadays.
Those models all costing $50k up even for preowned.
        Many are fakes.

I am so glad they leave Rolex to the old geezers like me.

Imagine pawnshop did not find out the fakes and then sell them to consumers and the buyer kept for years later and resell to another fella???

Pawnshop not specialised in evaluating watches. I personally wouldnt dare to buy a preowned watch from a pawnshop.

                        Agree.
if you want to buy or sell a watch, go to a watch dealer or sell here.

you will be surprised many pawnshop aunties and uncles don't know how to authenticate most watches so if high end watch they will tell you they don't want with some stupid reasons or low ball you.

In terms of watch transacting, I have yet to come across pawn shops. This article has reiterated my action thus far.

wasting pawnshop uncle's time. True story, I encounter a young boy pawn a rolex and told the uncle he found it. Luckily the uncle speak to him nicely that its illegal to bring fake watch to his shop but he will not report to the police. in the end the boy ran away. haha
