Personally, I have no idea why anyone would wear two watches, one on each hand. Would be interesting to find out why anyone would do that. I mean, a proper reason.

One of my Jap staff in the company does that for approximately a month... later he take off one after being commented by another senior Jap exec for being a weirdo of wearing 2 watches to office... despite he have "strong" reason to do so. 1 piece tells local time, another tells Japan HQ time.
Wanna know what does the senior exec tells the fella?
