Honestly, no one has questioned about the rolex that I wear.....

But I have somehow experienced similar feeling this afternoon at Golden Landmark... saw this 6542 in a shop display, went in to check it out, got a cold shoulder from the shop owner.... ha ha.... but nothing to be angry about.... I can't afford it anyway and I believe that beauty is real....

It just shows the difference in thinking between the generations and their priorities. My dad is the same way. There is no way he would have thought of buying a nice watch at my age - it was a reward given at retirement for a lifetime of servitude with the same company. So don't hold it against the old man - just understand that he was probably brought up very differently from you and I.

last time have pension. company will take care of you if u stay with them for donkey years. nowadays no more le. people hopping everywhere as long as have opportunity.

hence, no chance of getting retirement present from company. hence, have to save up and buy ourselves
