That can be substantial, depending on the model. If you google smartly, you can find prices and can compare.

On the point about transacting through paypal, it is not exactly safe as there are workarounds by dishonest people. To protect yourself in the event that one needs to use paypal, just limit it to a couple of hundred dollars. I do this often with camera lenses up to $1.2K, an amount that I am willing to loose.
