how do you justify spending $xx,xxx on watches...?

I like the classic design, movement and it last for long. I can even pass down to my next generation.

Watches are something we wear and look at every day. Nothing beats looking at your wrist and feeling the weight of your hard work. Double kudos if you fought hard for it at an auction.

But sometimes, we can't deny there's an element of peer pressure in it.

To me I think it's better buying than branded bags because the price will depreciate like mad, with the exception of Chanel. I see it as an investment...

I'm not filthy rich so to me, the best way to justify the purchase of an expensive watch will be to associate it with an achievement or milestone in life.

Of course, if you are rich enough, just indulge and treat it like a hobby!

As a treat to myself for some imaginary achievement..! haha, more than likely I tend to go for used watches so as to mitigate the depreciation/resale value.. the newness wears off too fast on new watches imo..
