  • Brand New TOG with mistake from Rolex?

    Heya,

For TOG owners, or those have access to an TOG, I have just got a brand new TOG from local AD (Singapore), and I just realised this brand new watch, which supposed to be in perfect condition, do have a blemish on it.

There are luminuous "dot" on all the hours marking (at one oclock, two oclock, etc) with the exception on the twelve oclock (the Rolex logo). Now I just realised this luminuous "dot" is missing on the fifth oclock marker - the dot mark is there, but there is no luminuous "dot" on it!

I was thinking, whoever (or whatever) crafted this piece must have forgot to put this luminuous "dot" for this spot, as I don't see it anywhere inside the watch (under the stupid assumption that it got loose and it should be inside the casing still).

Now how rare is that? I'm thinking on going back to the AD and I don't know, get it fixed or something, but maybe I can sell it on ebay and make a huge profit out of it =) C'mon how often original Rolex makes mistake like this.

Can someone with TOG confirm that theirs do have a luminuous "dot" on the five oclock marker?

This has happen to my BNIB 116520 bought from local AD, the tach meter at some point has the black index missing , the number is there but no black ink on the number itself , where as all the rest of the number comes with the black ink.
Went back to the AD , they do a 1 to 1 exchange to another BN 116520 for me after 1 day .
But mine was bought only 1 day and i bring it back to them the next day .

Seriously, this is normal mistake, for a watchmaker as well known as Rolex?

Anyway I attached the pics on my first post.

I just checked mine. All have a small dot marker except 12 o'clock (where logo is). The dot marker is green...

Suspect your marker may had "dropped out" and still somewhere on the dial

My auntie Rolex diamond also drop out once when the maid dropped it
