Liverpool back in July

IT IS a done deal.
Liverpool fans will have a chance to see their heroes in action at the National Stadium on July 26.
Singapore-based promoters Strategic Sports Investment, a subsidiary of the Profitable Group, confirmed on Wednesday that the five-time European champions will prepare for their 2009/2010 season by taking on the Singapore National Team.
It will mark the third visit by England's most successful team. They last came to the Republic in 2001.
The match will be part of a two-game tour, which will also see them face the Thailand National Team in Bangkok on July 22.
The Reds will fly direct from their training camp in Switzerland to play in Southeast Asia.
Manager Rafael Benitez said: 'We have a fantastic group of fans in both Thailand and Singapore and it will be great to take the lads out there again.'
