For me if close family members is fine esp if it's very expensive gifts such as watches or branded bags. For friends I don't think we normally lavish a lot on them, maybe a couple of hundreds but not thousands I guess hahaPresent:

Personally I will avoid doing that because I'm afraid it would come off as insincere. But I know there are some poeple who are ok with it. What are your comments on this?
I sold two vintage hand-winging/self-winding watches to two gals and both are good friends.
Both bought for their boy friend ss gift and their boy friend is very pleased and happy not only the watch is nice and in tip top condition, but it a vintage watch that you don't find them everywhere.
