Better Not. Not many peiple can accept second hand items as gift.

No matter how LNIB a watch is, getting preowned as a gift will only downgrade the impression on you as a cheapskate giver.

I would rather buy a lower cost brand new item which i can afford rather than buying an expensive preowned item as gifts.

unless they are vintage lovers, I would probably stay away from pre-owned as a gift.

I think is fine as long as the gift/ watch is clean n furnish like new.

not all women can accept pre-owned stuff as gift. Not blaming them, I think it's just a girl thing...

To mi yes pre- own watch Is cheaper and we can get good deal sometime, as what ppl always say my lose is ur gain. So I personal feel that buying pre-own watch is ok.

I usually buy pre-owned for myself because of the cost savings, but for gifts I'd think new would be a better idea, unless you know the recipient of the gift very well and know he/she will love the gift even though it's pre-owned.

For me I think a new one will have more meaning and cherished. Just make sure he really like it.

Agree that it depends on the recipient. If close friends or family, i dont think they will mind a pre-owned if its a better watch. For clients, preowned may not be a choice

For example, if your wife giver you receiver, item brand new TAG heuer aquaracer quartz or one year old used ROLEX GMT2C, your wife ask you, which one yeah you want my darling, so which one you take, do back to your wife test market, which one she will take. My friend she had hard time looking for the best husband gift, cuz she not rich, she bought used 6694 full set for husband gift, husband happy like crazy. Funny husband got 6 new model watches Pam and Rolex, how come this used 6694 he happy like crazy, I had small talk to him and asked what make him so happy, cuz you got better watches, he told me that not about used items all about love and gift.
Agreed! But really depends on the relationship with the receiver....

Pre-owned for myself. For gifts I'll get brand new. Especially for wife/gf. Don't fall for their trap when they say "it's ok". Haha
