    Hi,

For all Whiskey lovers, there is an event called Whisky LIVE happening on 25th Oct. I've attended the event in Taipei and it was fantastic as you get to taste quite a wide range of whiskies. I'll probably be attending and for other whisky lovers who like to attend, we can meet up over there as well!

    Check out details at http://www.sistic.com.sg/events/whisky2014

Disclaimer - I'm not an exhibitor or have any relations with the event or any exhibitors in the event! Just a whisky lover!

Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Chivas Royal Salute. Only buy them in duty-free when I touch down in Changi.

Nice to see a whisky thread! Whisky can taste so different depending on region/distillery, so IMHO there is no 'best' in general - there are only personal favourites. I am partial to sherry cask whiskies - recently liking Glendronach, Tomintoul and Ben Riach. Also like Glenglassaugh, Bunnahabhain and the defunct Caperdonich (can't bear to open my Cadenhead Caperdonich 35...).

              its really good, personal opinion.
Can you still get this? The distributor changed last year and I think the original guy kept most of the Singapore cask when he sold his stock to the new guys.... I managed to get a bottle from the new guys but finished drinking already....

Whisky doesn't age once bottled so... it's only if a particular bottling is suddenly being sought after for some reason, otherwise the price won't fluctuate much I believe. Eg. that limited-run Yamazaki 18 y/o sherry cask, was 400+ a bottle until they won a prestigious award - I have come across a bar selling it for 4k after that....

Yamazaki 18, at a time when it's still affordable. If not Nikka Taketsuru 17 and 21 still gives good value. Miss the times Taketsuru 21 was only 170 sgd

Try Japanese whisky's - Hibiki, yamazaki, hakushu - awesome
