While searching my room for my watches the other day, I found a small metal box that has been long forgotten, it was given to me when I was much younger by my late grandfather. At the time, also don’t know what are this for so just keep it aside. Inside the box are some ancient gold coins. Not too sure how much will this coins worth, any members here have any knowledge on this coins, can give advice? Will up load picture soon.

I called up one of the auction house before. Think it is somewhere near Le Meridien.
The fella said those coins/currency in circulation on the streets last time are not worth valueing.
I don't know if he is trying to smoke me or not.
So if I have banana notes from WWII, it implies they are not going to worth much since it was in circulation during WWII.
How can that be?

my 2 cts worth.
i used to collect coins/paper banknotes. sold off a part of my collection last year liao
several factors that will affect the value of coins/banknotes
- economic environment (not a good time to sell now)
- demand (from collectors, both local and overseas)
- the rarity of the coin/banknotes (some rare stuff will cost u a bomb)
- condition of the coins/banknotes
you can bring them to auction houses for valuation.
2 local houses i know: mavin (started by a retired justice) & monetarium, located at the adelphi, opp funan). they accept consignment thru-out the year"The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking...
the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind.
If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker." ALBERT EINSTEIN (1879-1955)

And that...$150 gold coin is worth quite abit coz of the gold value appreciation
Anyway...if u were to sell all...value is pretty close...u can get about 20k? well that's just an estimation based on 26 coins at about 1/2 ounce each..top up alittle more and u could get 1 no problems
