just 2 days ago my friend and I joked about having a pelican box solely for independent brands..what would be your 5?
my definition of independent brands: own movement/heavily modified, young history - less than 20 years old, maybe less than 200 pieces production/year, average waiting time of at least 6 months and no wide AD network (this means you can only buy from their few boutiques, very few selected ADs in the world or order online directly from manufacturer and wait for it to be shipped to you).
Mine goes:
1. Dornbluth & Sohn 99.4
2. Habring2 automatc with date
3. Ochs und Junior moonphase/MIH annual calendar
4. De Bethune Titan Hawk
5. FP Journe OctaSport
they don't need to be expensive (some of you may go for Christophe Claret, MB&F, Richard Mille and Laurent Ferrier)...just something that you like, willing to pay for this brand/model (some associate it with value for money)and within your means say in the next 2-3 years.
