How Rude can a Dealer be! is this a normal conversation?

This shop really sux to the max. The staff are extremely rude and arrogant. The lady boss speaks like she's the queen or something.

There was once I brought in one of my watches and just casually ask for the price I can sell it for. They asked me to take it off and let them inspect, and I did so. Next thing I know they were taking down my serial number without my permission. Who knows what they are doing with it. I refused to let them have my phone number and details. I didn't even agree to deal with them and just asked a casual question and they already treat me like I stole the watch. What the hell.



Yeah that shop at Funan. Avoid at all costs.

you don't have to spell out the name of the shop here but any watch shop goer would know which shop you were referring.

they said it themself they want to run it through records, reports etc. and i was just casually asking for a quote.

Hey bro, lighten up, I think it sounds ok to me too.At no point rude.Only maybe instead of MANAGEMENT he should have said 'WE' then maybe not so serious and businesslike, nothing wrong in stating that a trade in depends on the condition and brand of your watch as it is not a given that the shop has to take in your watch just because you want to trade in.They are merely clarifying so that you will not be too disappointed if they reject what you bring in.You haven't really seen or Heard RUDE yet.....

There's a lot of these so called preown shop selling their used watches at prices higher than BNIB grey dealer sets. What a joke.
