Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin” (Ref. IW379503)

For those who wish for a bronze watch, how about this?

First ever bronze watch by IWC, equipped with the manufactured 89365 calibre.

I'm not so sure this IWC chrono match the bronze case. As usually bronze case are used for diver watch (correct me if I'm wrong). Can't use the chrono in the water right?

For divers' the chrono pushers are usually screw-locked. Like the ori pro diver. Button, yes, not supposed to use the chrono function when submerged, from what I've read.
I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

It's the first bronze but not first chrono in the Aquatimer series. Not sure if the chrono function can be used under water but that's not what it is meant for, as for diving the internal rotating bezel is supposed to be used for timing.

                My own short list:
                1) upsize Daytona and sub to 42mm.
                2) all black Daytona and sub either pvd/ dlc or ceramic in 42mm or bigger.
                3) see through case back for datejust and datejust2.
                4) bronze luminor.
                5) cheaper grand seiko to allow new buyers to slowly appreciate he brand and quality and then gradually upgrade to the higher end GS range.
                6) Rolex sport models in alternative materials - titanium, ceramic.
                7) thicker case for glycine airman.
                8) pp to make bigger watches.
                9) Pam to show more of their in-house movement through their exhibition case backs instead of covering them up despite the see through case back.
                10) Pam to reintroduce the logo on the dials of some of their luminor watches.
                11) more vintage inspired watches in bigger cases.
                12) breitling to offer more black steel models.
                13) seven Friday to use Swiss movement ( eta, soprod, sellita), move production to Switzerland, and use sapphire crystal and charge the current price or cheaper.
                14) Rolex to be a bit more trendy and daring with their offerings.
I don't have enuf watches but I will stop buying now!

Interesting. One wishes for more trendy and the other prays for classic reproduced.

SevenFriday to have more designs (instead of changing the colour scheme of their current lineup)?

And on the subject of Aquatimers, my opinion is that they are not as beautiful as the previous generations ones.

The is my favourite Aquatimer. Hope that they can follow something similar in the "not-so-near" future, since they are launching on in 2014...
