They have tons of watches that can't sell too due to low demand, thus all these are to safe guard their business.
They are also having higher risks than online sellers.
Let me interpret this- they are justified to buy stuff at a lower price because they have cost to cover... But I also have family to feed, loans to pay, etc... So can I buy watches from others at a lower price too?

I understand they have this and that; but don't forget, SOME of them (I shall not mention...) are out to gain the most out of sellers who don't really grasp the value of their watches...

        Your statement is very true.
So how you feel about forum buyers offering the same amount as shop?
it won't change the fact that they are lowballers.

And they are just embarrassing themselves.

          LOL classic bro, classic!

Yes, even among the dealers, there are low ballers too. Generally, prices quoted by them are between 3% to 5% different but there are dealers who quoted like 15% - 20% diff! OMG! And of course they didn't give reason like "I-lost-in-mahjong-last-night". Their reasons are more pro, like "market soft", "I have many sellers for this models", "this one hard to sell" etc etc etc.... just to cream that extra $200-$300 off you.

That happens, i ever met some buyers who fake quote and offer you low price after you have decided not to sell the others.

            Willing seller willing buyer.

I ever come across buyer actually was a 3rd class mini-dealer who does not want to come out cash to carry stock. He posted a dummy advertisment for the same item at same price hope that he can bargain for a very low price. Every now and then ask me is it still available.

Another bad experienced, once I meet the buyer for viewing. After long negotiation I agreed with the price and he said did not bring the cash. So, we meet next day. Next day he did not turn-up and reject my call.

Well, I got to take it. I m ok.

True that! Also this doesn't only apply to watches. Try selling your mobile phone to a dealer after you agreed on a price. Suddenly minus $50 coz got scratch on bezel which isn't even visible unless you use a magnifying glass. However selling to a direct buyer, they wouldn't even care if it's not that visible.

I believe no such thing as low-baller.

If I give a price for something you are selling and you don't like it, just reject. If someone is desperate, maybe will sell. If not, no need for insults.

                  This is very subjective....

Some pple offer their watches at silly prices also... so some bids they might consider to be low balling might be in the market...

So like one of the guys earlier said... willing buyer, willing seller....

Got this sgroc member offer me $4000 for my U-series Seadweller. He cited reasons such as no service history and no papers to (unsuccessfully) convince me $4000 is a fair price. I declined him politely, and he still say his offer stand only for a day...
I sold off the watch at $5500 yesterday...

On a similar topic, I met a reputable seller here who jacked up price 2hrs prior to meet up. I confirmed price with him, and he reserved it for my viewing/deal... He say someone else offered him $100 more... I din want to make things difficult, so matched the price and bought it...
I dare say he sold a lot pieces of watch on this forum, adverts always full of marketing stories... So now I see his advert, I always hope he has learnt to keep his words...

Shall we expose folks like that around here? using underhand methods to skive extra $$$ from sincere buyers ! totally lacked of integrity ! You better have the watch verified ! If he can do that, I am sure he may mod the set !!

Being able to keep to one's words is very important to a seller's reputation, especially those who regularly sell over here. Can PM me who this is?

What was your initial offer? Was he polite when he offered a much lower price? although he did have his reasons, if he is apologetic about it, I reckon we can still accept it. From the way you described him (he still say his offer stand only for a day) I tend to think he is one hella low baller! any view?
